Do you know about aardwolfs? Or get ready to learn about the little cute little guys in the world. It is a small animal and eats only insects. They are endemic to East Africa and South Africa. They are descended from the Hyenas. So this little creature also looks like a hyena.
They are mostly found in South African forests. And unlike the hyenas, they live in burrows. They do not dig for themselves and take up ditched habitats by other animals.
They are very shy creatures. And they are nocturnal. But in the cold, they eat during the day, and then go to sleep at night. They have a long, sticky tongue and mostly consume insects. About 300,000 insects are eaten by one animal per night. The grownups are similar to a fox in size. And they are monogamous. Another speciality of this species is they usually live with one partner for the rest of their lives. Below you can see how cute they are.
