TECLA, a project where dome-like houses being built near Bologna in Italy. The structure of these 3D Printed houses is very interesting.  Mario Cucinella Architects has designed this and its fabrication was planned by WASP. In these dwellings made, layers of clay would be included one upon one with the use of 3D Printers. And the clay used is made of natural materials therefore it is zero-waste and is recyclable. After the completion, this would be the first house built with the use of these materials and the fabrication method. Also, it would be the first project where many 3D Printers worked on one structure.

Mario had said that the completion of this is an important milestone. Also had said that thanks to technology and design the project is not just a theory anymore. And that it would be an achievable response for many needs in today and the future. According to both the design team and Mario as this is successful so far it may suit other environments too. A maker economy starter kit was created by WASP so that it would be helpful for others to recreate the design. The completion of the structure is expected in the 2021 spring season. To know more about this check the website of Mario Cucinella Architects and the fabrication of TECLA, and crane WASP.
