This location in Verona was already recognized as a site rich in archeological value. This founding was a Roman Mosaic that dates back to the 1st Century! The mosaics suggest that it belongs to an upper-class house where these types of mosaics are found.
The team plans to keep on unveiling the history that is being enclosed by the soil and finishing it off by opening it to the public as a historical and an archeological site. For that, it takes some time to do the excavation, preservation, acquiring of the private land, and so on. So, for now, it is more than enough to rejoice about the fact that these mosaics are dated so back into history and they promise more things to be unearthed in close proximity.
