A most heard and most spoken topic was NASA’s Perseverance rover set off to Mars in July this year. Its main job is to seek information of historic existences and gather representatives of rock and regolith (fragmented rock and soil) to bring them back to earth.

According to NASA the perseverance’s due landing is on Mars on 18 Feb 2021. As the expedition of the perseverance comes nearer to the end a trailer of the perseverance’s voyage is relinquished in the time of this Christmas by NASA. A one minute long video that seems more like a perfect movie trailer of the rover setting foot on Mars, after a journey of about 300M miles.

The dramatic Trailer Of The Perseverance Landing

It will search for possible indications of ancient microbial life, as astrobiology is a main objective of Perseverance’s mission on Mars. It’ll be the first mission to gather and store Martian and regolith (broken rocks and dust) also the rover will distinguish stuff like the planet’s geology and past climate, also open the way for human explorations on Mars.

After the arrival on Mars, the rover will begin its mission of 2 years which would be done in one years’ time on Mars. And also before the launching in July the system engineer Rebekah Sosland Siegfried who checked the rover had also commented on this historical mission.

She had said that “ It’s going to take a lot of effort and it’s going to take a lot of equipment, and that’s why the instrumentation of the rover is the way it is, so we can actually ensure that humans can survive on Mars for, you know, a longer period of time, maybe even years”

A succeeding mission will also be run along with the European Space Agency which will send a different spacecraft to Mars in order to gather representatives and bring them to earth.

The mission Mars 2020 is just a small part of a project that comprises a mission to the Moon too. NASA announced that 4 years from now they’ll be sending the coming back astronauts to the moon, which will lead to a comfortable mortal existence on the Moon by the later part of 2030. “Artemis” the name of the lunar investigation plan expected by NASA.
