This is a valuable set of photos were shared with the world by a Russian Marine Biologist named Alexander Semenov. The area he specializes in is invertebrates. Being a head diver at White Sea Biological station while being a professional photographer gave him the chance of capturing amazing moments underwater.
He likes to capture scientific macro photographic elements underwater. These include micro living organisms which aren’t found usually and also not clearly visible to the naked eye. Semenov, likes to share and inform the world on his particular subject of interest by using a lot of social media platforms as well as guest lectures and exhibitions.
These impressive CGI-like photos that are shot in the depths of the deep sea looks so beautiful, to a level that some might even consider it to be unreal.

Not only in Russian waters, this marine biologist has been doing underwater photography in other regions in the world as well.
The issue with underwater photography is that the camera adjustments would go off, the water and its condition might block or absorb the light which isn’t the ideal condition to capture what is seen with eyes on a photo. After getting the best photo possible, the photos are usually edited in a complicated manner to develop the condition that was seen to the naked eye. In this process, many wildlife photographers, including Semenov; struggle to edit it to make it as real as possible while trying to preserve its natural, real-like look even when it’s printed.

This; active marine biologist is so in love with his work. He named the project that explores and photographs deep marine life as; ‘Aquatilis’. He and his team act as science / marine ambassadors, exhibiting their work under harsh conditions and promoting deep sea life exploration. This is the passion of Semenov.
The reason that Semenov and his teammates continue to travel and explore the world of depths is that; they grew up idolizing the work of Jules Verne and such. The team of young explorers are determined that this is an era for a new generation of explorers, so that one day, the future generations might be inspired to live their dreams.
