The huge bird which is s also named Jatayu is 200ft long, 70 ft tall, and 150 ft wide. The sculpture is really beautiful and its detailing is also great, the feathers are detailed really well. The wings of the bird are laid on the ground making it possible for visitors to climb up, up to his head and claws. Also, it’s possible to go inside of the bird too. It had taken 10 years for them to finish this huge sculpture, obviously, it would with its size of course.

The bird also has a very historic thing related to him. The bird is known as ‘noble bird of divine origin’ and the bird Jatayu related to the Ramayana, a Hindu epic. It is said that the bird had tried to rescue Sita, wife of Lord Rama who was been taken away by King Ravana. As an honor and to pay tribute to its deduction toward women’s protection the Earth’s Center had made this sculpture. Also, it symbolizes the time that people and animals lived in harmony and protected each other.
