With a huge number of submissions, many competitions are taking place, in search of the best photographers in the industry. Amongst all the competitions, this particular competition established in Australia in 2017 is conducted to appreciate wedding photographers and their skills. This year’s competition was held under 9 categories and about 415 contestants from 58 countries had taken part in the competition submitting about 1,500 photographs. And out of all those images, a photograph taken by Italian photographer Fabio Mirulla took home the grand prize.

The winning photograph of Fabio was submitted under the category Black and white. The photograph is an image of a bride getting ready. And you can see her wedding dress is not visible but the lamp is in perfect unison with her creating an illusion as if she’s wearing the lamp. Along with the shape of the lamp, it perfectly suits the scene.

Other than the black & white category there had been more like the bridal party, dance floor, couple portrait, epic location, from above, solo portrait and engagement, or pre/post-non-wedding day. And Fabio had also submitted images to some of the above-mentioned categories as well. But it was that image submitted to the black and white category that got him the winning prize that has a total worth of $10,000.

When he shared his idea about his win on Bored Panda he said it’s the first time he participated in this competition. Also had said that he loves participating in competitions because it helps him to improve his work by comparing them with others from around the world. And the runner-up photograph of the competition is an amazing photograph taken by the duo Andre and Bec from Canada. This image, Willow + Wolf was submitted under the Epic Location category. Actually, it had been an epic photograph as the location is incredible. When you see the photo even you might feel how scary it had been to capture this epic photo.
