This beautiful yet wired and fantasy-looking castle is a Renaissance castle situated about 6.8 miles away from Postojna village in Slovenia and has an interesting behind it. Presently it is a museum is built to an opening of a cave. For the first time, this was in the talk in 1272 and it was said that a Gothic-style castle was built in the place because when the cave there it’s very protective, and as the place was nestled with rocks getting to it is not an easy task and it might have been a perfect place to hide.

Knight Erasmus of Lueg had been the lord of the Castle in the 15th century and had been famous for doing bad stuff. And robber baron had taken refuge in the castle to escape from Federick II, Roman Emperor after killing an imperial army commander. During the hiding time, he had used a path that was naturally created to get the good in and out of the castle. And also the route had been helpful for him to continue robbing. And after a siege in the castle, he was killed and the structure was also ruined. Even though it was reconstructed again it was ruined due to an earthquake. And the current beautiful and interesting castle you are able to see was built by Baron Philipp von Cobenzl in 1570. And if you wish to have a visit it’s open all year for you to go and see.
