People are diverse and they are born with diverse physical attributes. Some are out there who have different bodies and have gender identity issues in public. But that doesn’t mean that those people are to be treated in bad manners. Even though it is the case, still there are many cases where a lot of them get treated in an unethical manner.
Even at schools, children who are with biological differences in their bodies are being treated differently. Although there is action taken to prevent such things, still there are issues. This story is also about a transgender girl who had been treated unjustly by a teacher. But the story takes a turn when the children in the school supported her. Kendall Tinoco 16 years studies at Temple High School, Texas, and is a trans girl. Recently on 22nd September, she had said what had happened with her on Instagram. A teacher had stopped her from using the girl’s locker-room saying that it was not for trans people. Though the teacher had said so, Kendall had not cared much about it and had thought that the teacher was transphobic.
But it did not turn pretty as she ended up taken to the administration and even they had not helped her much. She had mentioned that she had been using the girl’s bathroom from 7th grade and even has a form saying that none has the right to tell her which bathroom or locker room she should use.
Anyways, the post shared by her had gone viral and as a result, the students at the school stood up in support of her. The students had conducted a protest by walking out of their classrooms and it had been a peaceful one. The children had supported her with LGTBQ+ flags. And the slogan “Trans Lives Matter” was used.
Videos of children peacefully protesting had gone all around the internet. Even some local news channels arranged interviews to speak with Kendall and the spokesperson of the school Christine Parks. The spokesperson shared that measures have been taken in regard to this problem. And Kendall had been very happy that the children stood in support of her and LGTBQ+ community.
