You might have heard people say that ere are 7 who would look like you. But are you sure that they would look exactly like you or just have some similarities? Well not just in the human world there are look-alikes in the animal world too and you might have seen them. But have you ever come across animals from different species that look alike?
Some say “we are brothers from other mothers” and in the animal world too there are brothers from other mothers. Their species might not be the same but the color of the fur might be the same. So in order to know more about the looks of animals and their fur the Bored Panda had spoken with a well-known professor Dr. Hopi E. Hoekstra. So as she had said the looks of fur depend on things like the length of the hair, thickness, density, and composition. Also had said that spines are hair that is modified. Had said that pigmentation of hair makes them look less or more similar.
She had also said about the dense fur that animals like sea otters have. Had said that those fur keeps them warm and also helps with buoyancy. About the hair that the polar bears have she had said that the hairs are unique and they capture heat and helps them to be warm.
Also, they have spoken with Dr. Jessica E. Light, and according to her insulation, sensory like the whiskers, protection that spines provide and visual, the color which we all see are the main purposes of fur.
