Everyone during their younger years had a spot or several, that you and your friends would hangout. This is not much different other than a bunch of friends making a fortune out of their hang-out spot! These friends wasted no time in getting the set up done to make the island a headliner party spot. They installed bathrooms, built thatched-roof structures, set up a bar, and even added an inflatable slide for extra fun. Pine Key became their go-to place for unforgettable get-togethers. With the word spreading around, soon enough, Tampa Bay residents started using the island for concerts, weddings, and other small events.

Despite some run-ins with local officials over zoning issues, which led to temporary shutdowns, the friends managed to keep their island oasis thriving. The Beer-Can-Island became more than just a party venue; it turned into a beloved landmark. However, the friends decided it was time to put the island up for sale, the owners are offering equity membership for $1,000 per share in the Beer Can Island Owners Club LLC. The deal includes not only the island itself but also the 60 acres of submerged land surrounding it.

Beer-Can-Island is now temporarily closed to the public as it awaits a new owner. Despite receiving multiple offers, the current owners are focusing on zoning and improving the island’s amenities to maximize its value. Their efforts are aimed at ensuring the next owner can take full advantage of the island’s potential.
