This fairytale yet haunting-looking forest is the ancient woodland Wistman’s Wood. This strange location lies in Damtoor and is covered with different beautiful twisted trees and boulders. Even writers had said that this is the most haunted place in Dartmoor. But anyways this fearless photographer Neil Burnell had taken the risk of visiting this haunted-looking place with the hope of getting some beautiful image. And he had been successful after visiting the place over 20 times. The series in which he had given the title Mystical is a collection of photographs of this woodland. And you can see how the branches and the roots of the trees are here and there giving the forest an amazing look. The roots are all over moss-covered boulders.
To My Modern Met Neil had said that he loves to produce an atmosphere in his photographs and that this woodland is very atmospheric. Also had said that he went to the place about 20 times to get the perfect pictures he needed also had added that the perfect time to go there is the hour before the sunrises, blue hour.
