Many dogs out there in the world receive so much love from us. People treat dogs as if they are their own kids, but then there are people who treat them in the most brutal ways possible as well. Many dogs go through a lot and it feels bad that they get treated like that.
This sweet innocent dog also had been one such unfortunate puppy who received so much hate from her owner. Cala, is a guard dog of a mechanic who lives in San Jose, Costa Rica. And the poor dog had been tied onto a chain that was too short she couldn’t even rest her head. Fortunately, there were some people who helped her out by informing the right authorities about the torture she’s been going through. Scroll down to know about the sweet pup Cala.

The owner had kept Cala for years tied on to a short metal chain. The chain had been really short that there had been no chance for her to rest her head and also it had been difficult for Cala to breathe. And moreover, he had not even bothered to give her the needed medical treatments whenever she was sick. But anyhow after the neighbors had seen Cala in this poor condition they had informed the police and Territorio de Zaguates, an animal shelter.

Then finally, Cala was rescued and they had given her all the medical care she was in need of. Lya Battle, the founder of the animal shelter shared that healing the wounds was a slow process and that she had to go through a bit of pain while healing the wounds. But anyhow with all the love and care, Cala returned back to health.

What’s more saddening is that even after going through so much, she again had to face the cruelty of humans. Some people had sneaked into the sanctuary with the hope of killing the animals with poisoned sausages. Unfortunately, 16 dogs lost their lives but Cala managed to overcome that as well. Though she suffered some neurological problems, she is fine.

Finally, after all these tragic happenings in life Cala now lives happily with her new foster family. She receives so much love from her foster mom that she’s now totally spoiled. Thanks to all the kind-hearted people who took care of her she now lives a happy healthy life.
