In our day-to-day lives, we come across different people who are in various clothes. And for us, some of them might look good in their clothes and some not. So we have to understand that not everyone in this world has the same fashion sense and not all dresses look equally good.
But in reality, there are dresses that are utterly impractical and hilarious. You cannot just randomly put some clothes together and call it a dress. So it’s quite normal for people to shame such dresses when they come by them. And today we bring you some hilarious dresses that were shared on the ‘You can’t just slap some fabric together and call it a dress’ Facebook group. In this group, they shame awkward-looking dresses for lulz. Scroll down to have a look at those bizarre dresses.
This Facebook group where there are about 60k members share different clothes that they find impractical and awkward. And the sole reason behind this dress shaming is for humor and making people aware of what good style is.
So Bored Panda has got in touch with Mary Waldron, the founder of this amazing community to know more about their rise to fame. She had said that the group had started to grow after about 6-7 months of creation. Even though she had not thought it would become a hit in the community, it grew well. She said that what’s general about these shaming groups is that they bring people together and let them share things they find really bad just for a good laugh.
About the lovely name of the group, she had said that it was from a comment received on a post that was shared on the group. Initially, the group had been just for wedding dresses but later on, they had let other dresses be shared on the group. And it was after that they had changed their name to the current one from ‘You Can’t Slap On A White Skirt and Call it a Wedding Dress’.
And according to many, a dress becomes really bad when it’s utterly impractical. She had said that even though she gawks on dresses at the group when it comes to the outside world she has an open mind because the taste of people is different. And she had said if you feel happy when you wear a dress then wear it ‘cause it’s your own body and you dress it as you want.
