It’s not superpowers that you need to be a hero in someone else’s life, it’s kindness and love that’s needed. Through being kind and showing love to someone you might be able to change that person’s whole life. The Humans of New York Facebook page such a story was shared by a man. As the man had said he and his brother had been foster kids. He had shared how his life was changed after being adopted by a kind-hearted woman. The post had received more than 480k reactions and about 14k had commented on the post.

Both the man and his brother had been foster kids from a young age. He had said that his brother was lucky enough to go to a family named Ripleys. Although he had been in 4 different foster houses in three years and all had been worse. He had said that Ms. Ripley used to take both the brothers out at times and one day she had seen he had marks on his body.

After this, she had made arrangements and had taken him to the family. He had said that he was warmly welcomed to the family by the Ripleys. And whenever he did something wrong his foster mom would sit and explain that it’s not right to him. And he had said she always said to him that he was not going anywhere as he belonged with them.

He had said that after some time he joined the family Mr. Ripley had passed away after being diagnosed with cancer. Then the lady had been all alone with two foster kids, but rather than leaving the kids she had gone to the court and had adopted both the kids.

Then they had moved to a single-wide trailer in Mississippi and there she had raised both the boys well. He had said that the mom had done all kinds of work she could. And that though they didn’t have much they enjoyed going to movies and even having game nights. Also had said that she kept them busy in little league and boy scouts.

After having a daughter for himself the man had thought about his foster mom and had even thought that every decision he makes is going to affect his child’s future. At the end of the story, the man had said despite all the trouble his foster mom had she had given enough love to heal him.
